Contact us on 61.2 9831 5278 Member, Society of Notary Publics NSW Member, Law Society of New South Wales Code of Conduct   Latest Update May 2011 The NSW Government has introduced legislation to extend the Senior's Principal Place of Residence Duty Exemption under the NSW Home Builders Bonus scheme to persons between the ages of 55 and 65 years of age.  Previously the exemption only applied to Seniors over the age of 65.  It is anticipated that this will benefit Seniors who exchange Contracts after 1 July 2011.  For more information please contact our office.   Latest Update November 2010 Our previous update predicted that official interest rates may rise by as much as 50 basis points by Melbourne Cup Day.  Today the Reserve Bank lifted the official interest rate from 4.50% to 4.75%.  The Commonwealth Bank swiftly lifted its standard mortgage rate by 45 basis points.
